For certain regulated products being imported into Saudi Arabia, a SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate is required in place of the standard SABER Product Certificate of Conformity. Issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) , the SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader conformity assessment framework. Its primary purpose is to ensure that specific product categories meet international safety and performance standards, particularly those outlined by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) .
To obtain this certification, the product must be tested and approved by an IECEE-recognized technical consultant. Once the necessary product documentation is submitted, SASO reviews the technical files against its stringent requirements. If all criteria are met, the SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate is granted. All application processes - including submission, review, and issuance - are managed through SASO’s official MANEH certification platform, ensuring a secure and streamlined path to compliance.
